Using Machine Learning and Experimentation for Social Impact

ZEW Lectures on Economic Policy

This talk will review recent research projects using randomized experiments and digital interventions in social impact applications. Applications include designing adaptive experiments to learn about the most effective nudges for citizens to respond to government notices, nudging students to apply for financial aid, and inducing individuals to donate to charity.
