Empirical Research in Corporate Taxation

Workshop

The Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) and the University of Mannheim jointly organise a german workshop on "Empirical Research in Corporate Taxation" which will take place in Mannheim on the 3rd and 4th of September 2009.

The workshop programme comprises lecturers given by the keynote speakers and presentations of submitted papers. Empirical research is increasingly gaining importance in corporate taxation. Research in this field is multifaceted and relies on the collection of primary data in the scope of surveys and experiments, or on data such as financial statement data, financial market information or taxation statistics. The workshop is designed to focus on current empirical research work concerning the effects of taxation. We consider papers on issues regarding the effects of taxation with data collected in surveys, experiments, simulation models, or econometric analyses. The workshop particularly addresses doctoral researchers or advanced Ph.D. students dealing with issues of corporate taxation. In addition to discussion of the presented papers, the workshop provides a platform for exchanging experiences about the work with data records in research regarding the effects of taxation.
