    From May 8-12, 2012, Prof. Richard Deaves, PhD, was visiting researcher at the ZEW Research Department "International Finance and Financial Management". Richard Deaves is Professor of Finance and Business Economics at the Michael G. DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University, in Ontario. His research activities focus on the areas of behavioural finance and expectation formation. During his stay at ZEW, he was working with ZEW researchers on a working paper on the predictability of risk premiums on the German stock market.

The event took place on 20 April 2010 at the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW). Thomas Kohl, ZEW Director for Business and Administration, welcomed Mr Weber in front of about 260 guests.

He is Post Doctoral Research Fellow with the Centre for Competition Policy (CCP) at the University of East Anglia in Norwich (UK) and conducts research in the area of competition law. During his stay at ZEW he will concentrate particularly on the private enforcement of competition law.

    From April 16 to April 30, 2012, Prof. Dr. Dirk Rübbelke from Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3) and the Basque Foundation for Science (IKERBASQUE) is visiting researcher at the ZEW Research Department "Environmental and Resource Economics, Environmental Management". His main research fields are environmental economics, the theory of Public Goods as well as international climate and energy policy. Prof. Dr. Rübbelke and Prof. Dr. Löschel jointly organise the ZEW conference "New Directions in the Voluntary Provision of International Public Goods". The presented papers will be published in a special issue of Economica, which will be conceptualised during his stay.
