Yvonne Bräutigam has been responsible for ZEW's Online Communications since 2014. She coordinates ZEW’s PR and editing activities with focus on online communications, helps designing ZEW's PR strategy and as science communicator is responsible for knowledge transfer projects such as MS Wissenschaft. In addition, she provides editing and technical expertise for the German and English ZEW newsletter, published on a monthly basis. Coordinating the working area "Online Communications" since 2014, she takes care of the online and twitter team, further development of online activities, media relations, and editorial supervision of ZEW's video productions.
From 2009 to 2011, she completed a Master’s degree at the Danube University Krems in Austria. She obtained her Master of Science with distinction from the job-accompanying master’s programme PR and Integrated Communications. Her thesis focused on external science communication in social media with particular reference to journalists as mediator target group.Prior, she completed her diploma in Business Informatics at the University of Cooperative Education, Mannheim and a Bachelor of Arts (with Honors) in business administration at the Open University, London in Cooperation with the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW). She specialised in the area of software development, web development and project management as part of her employment in ZEW's Research Department "Industrial Economics and International Management". She worked at the Service Department "Knowledge Transfer and Qualification Programmes" and was responsible for various tasks in organisation, general management, leadership, marketing, and event management, before joining the Service Department "Press Relations and Editing" in 2003.
