Dr. Jan Abrell is a Senior Researcher in ZEW’s Research Department „Environmental and Resource Economics, Environmental Management”. His research concentrates on the design and impact evaluation of climate policies using numerical programming and data science methods. Dr. Jan Abrell studied economics at Goethe University Frankfurt and received his PhD for his thesis entitled “Transport und Emissions Trading” in 2010 from the Dresden University of Technology. Before joining ZEW in 2021, he worked, among others, for the European Commission and ETH Zurich.
