Francesco Berlingieri is a post-doctoral researcher in ZEW’s Research Department “Labour Markets and Human Resources”. Within the department, he is member of the Research Areas “Changing Labour Markets” and “Education and Labour Market Outcomes”. His research covers the areas of labour, education and urban economics. In particular, he focuses on the transition of university graduates into the labour market, the regional impact of higher education institutions and skill mismatch.
He has studied Economics at Bocconi University in Milan and has spent semesters abroad at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) and at the University of Mannheim. In December 2017, he received his PhD in Economics from Heidelberg University with a thesis on “Individual and Regional Returns to Higher Education: Empirical Evidence for Germany”.
