Dr. Carolin Schmidt is a senior teaching associate in real estate, finance and economics at the Department of Land Economy (University of Cambridge, UK) and a fellow of the Cambridge University Land Society. Prior to that, she was an advanced researcher at ZEW’s Research Department “International Finance and Financial Markets”. As a Junior Research Associate at ZEW, she works closely with her colleagues on topics related to real estate and household finance.
She holds a PhD in economics from the University of Tübingen and her research interests lie in determining how households make their housing decisions, as well as what factors determine housing demand and prices.
