In this project, the most significant threats and challenges posed by climate change to the EU were assessed, in order to identify appropriate measures that could be taken or adjusted to address these threats until 2020. Furthermore, the measures were assessed against their economic, social and environmental impacts. The focus was on measures which are currently not subject to ongoing assessments. Finally, in the course of this project EU policies like the Common Agriculture Policy, Cohesion and Structural funds, TEN-E and TEN-T funds, and RTD funds were examined to climate-proof the funding in these key policies.
