Internationalisation of German Science and Research

Internationalisation of German Science and Research

The study aims at analysing and evaluating goals, measures, successes and obstacles regarding the internationalisation of German research and science. This covers international activities of individual researchers, university and non-university institutes, umbrella organisations of science, intermediary and science promotion organisations as well as of political institutions. Not only individual measures and instruments are analyzed but also observed or unobserved links between these measures. All the international activities of German participants are to be evaluated in relation with the dynamics of the European research area (ERA) and its opportunity structures. Special focus lies on the goals and interests of German politics and German participants.
