The aim of the study is to identify the opportunities and challenges of digitalisation for the State Baden-Württemberg, focusing in particular on developments since the first meta-study was published by ZEW in 2017.
The main focus will be on education and training, e-government/digital communities, healthcare/medicine, mobility and the economy. In addition, the cross-cutting issues of research, development and innovation, digital infrastructure including the mobile network, digitalisation as an opportunity for sustainability and the energy transition, and cybersecurity will be examined. The impact of the Corona pandemic on digitalisation, big data, artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing/edge computing, and blockchain will be included in the analysis for the first time.
