The Role of Chinese Foreign Direct Investment in Germany and Europe and the Access to the Chinese Market for German and European Firms in the Context of M&A

The aim of this project is to analyse the role of foreign direct investment through mergers and acquisitions (M&A) of firms by German and other European firms in China, as well as by Chinese firms in Germany and other European countries. The analysis provides both a quantitative evaluation of size, structure and development of such investments, and a qualitative assessment based on interviews with firms.
