This feasibility study aims to review the applicability of market design methods to the procurement processes of public construction projects. The study includes a discussion of key market design methods and the current state of research regarding construction and procurement procedures. Additionally, the study aims to provide an overview of the data availability on public construction projects in Germany and the type of data that would be necessary for a conclusive analysis. The study also deals with the current legal framework and the implied scope for actively designing procurement strategies.
