Regional Innovation Systems in Baden-Wuerttemberg – State of Play and Conclusions

The project analyses the state of regional innovation systems in Baden-Wuerttemberg distinguishing twelve planning regions. One focus is on the role of intermediaries for promoting regional innovation processes, and how they are linked with each other within their region and beyond. The project discusses approaches how to better integrate small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) into regional innovation systems. With a view on regional innovation policy, the project presents ways to further strengthen the performance and efficiency of regional innovation systems in Baden-Wuerttemberg.
