Model Experiment I of the Forum for Energy Models and Energy Economic Systems Analysis in Germany: Effects of Climate Change - the National Perspective

Model Experiment I of the Forum for Energy Models and Energy Economic Systems Analysis in Germany: Effects of Climate Change - the National Perspective

A comparative analysis of the existing energy economic and energy systems models in Germany was the objective of the project. Based on the same principal framework assumptions several CO2 abatement measures were investigated in order to identify commonalities and differences among the methodical approaches. The aim is to qualify appropriate fields of application for the models, respectively model categories, and their extensions. The ZEW contributed to the model experiment with the applied general equilibrium model GEM-E3.
