Key Enabling Technologies (KETs) Observatory

Key Enabling Technologies (KETs) Observatory

The KETs Observatory provides both quantitative and qualitative information on the development and deployment of Key Enabling Technologies (KETs) and supplies European and national policy-makers and business stakeholders on a regular basis with reliable and representative data and analyses. The KETS Observatory measures, compares and analyses country performance in each of the 6 KETs identified in the KETs Communication COM (2012) 3413): nanotechnology, industrial biotechnology, photonics, micro- and nanoelectronics, advanced materials and advanced manufacturing technologies. The observatory covers five indicator areas: technology (based on patents), production, demand, trade and businesses. In addition to data-based analytical reports, the Observatory also collects and reports information on technology trends, innovation case studies, events, new publications, policy developments and intelligence sources.
