The research project evaluates attitudes companies have and the measures they take with regard to the retention of skilled workers. Based on a qualitative pilot study, two representative surveys are conducted, one with personnel managers and one with employee representatives to capture the employee perspective. The study analyses the potential that is ascribed to the target groups of the German Government’s skilled worker retention strategies in the companies and how companies take account of those target groups in their human resource management.
