        The research area “Integration into Labour Markets” investigates individual employment and wage dynamics, the evolution of employment opportunities for groups at risk and the impact of alternative forms of employment on labour market integration. The area studies the evolution and determinants of various dimensions of inequality including inequality across regions, gender and skill groups. A specific focus is placed on the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic on regional inequality in employment, earnings and firm dynamics. The research focus is responsible for coordinating the DFG Priority Programme 1764 “The German Labour in a Globalized World: Challenges through Trade, Technology and Demographics”.
