Spatial Inequality and Regional Policy
The Research Area Comprises
- Differences in Living Conditions
- Housing Markets and Policy
- Regional Competition
Within the research area “Spatial Inequality and Regional Policy” we study the effects of regional policy, such as place-based policies or housing policy. We also analyse the interactions of regional policies, induced by the competition among regions. A special focus lies on the effects of regional policy and spatial inequality between countries in Europe, regions in Germany, and city districts. As of July 2021, researchers in this area will work on the ERC Starting Grant “Housing, Inequality and Public Policies”.
