Eleventh Mannheim Conference on Energy and the Environment

ZEW Mannheim is pleased to announce the eleventh Mannheim Conference on Energy and the Environment. Leading experts as well as researchers at all career levels are invited to present and discuss innovative current research in the fields of environmental, energy, and climate economics. The conference will cover a broad range of aspects concerning the relationship between energy use and supply, environment, economic well-being, and regulation and policy. Contributions with different methodological backgrounds (theoretical, empirical, and behavioural research) are welcome.

We are pleased to announce that at this year's conference the most outstandig contribution from a PhD student will be selected for the Heinz König Award. The award is sponsored by MVV Energie AG, member of the ZEW's Sponsors' Association of Science and Practice. The award is endowed with EUR 5,000 and also offers the possibility of a three-month residential fellowship at ZEW including travel and accommodation costs. Authors are asked to identify as PhD students when submitting their paper in order to be considered for the award.

The conference fee is EUR 280. This covers the conference materials, meals, refreshments, coffee breaks, and the conference dinner. Participants who present a paper will pay a reduced fee of EUR 180. Presenters are asked to discuss a paper. Authors shall send their papers to the discussant at least two weeks before the start of the conference. The conference will take place on site in Mannheim.
