Second KIT-ZEW Workshop on the Economics of Science

Workshop

In our second KIT-ZEW Workshop on the Economic of Science doctoral students from both institutes will present their new studies funded by BMBF in the programme "Economics of science". The projects cover the following research themes:

  • Analysing the government of universities from the viewpoint of public finance
  • Returns to tertiary education and income risks
  • Adequate employment of graduates: An economical analysis of job match quality
  • Efficient incentive systems in science

We intend to improve collaboration under the participants and to foster research cooperation in the economics of science between KIT and ZEW. Guest speaker is Ute Schulze from the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg on "Up or out: Research Incentives and Career Prospects of Postdocs in Germany".
