Platform Markets: Regulation and Competition Policy

ZEW Centre for European Economic Research, MaCCI Mannheim Centre for Competition and Innovation and University of Mannheim are pleased to announce their conference "Platform Markets: Regulation and Competition Policy". The objective of the conference is to stimulate discussion between academic researchers and professionals in markets involving multi-sided platforms. Theoretical, empirical as well as policy-oriented articles are welcome.

The topics of interest include the strategies, governance, regulation and antitrust issues of:

  • Network externalities and standards
  • Advertising media and online content
  • Price discrimination, bundling, dynamic pricing, versioning
  • E-commerce, online-auctions, open source development
  • Payment systems, software

Schedule

The conference will start with lunch on Monday. In the evening MaCCI is holding a reception. A conference dinner will be offered on Tuesday. The conference closes on Wednesday after lunch.
