Mobilität der Zukunft

First-Hand Information on Economic Policy

Den Wandel gestalten

Looking at the latest developments such as autonomous driving and smart vehicles, e-mobility and hydrogen propulsion, carsharing and people’s renunciation of their own cars, it becomes clear that mobility in Germany is currently undergoing profound change. This topic is particularly controversial in Stuttgart since the state capital of Baden-Württemberg not only has the highest particulate matter pollution levels but is also home to world-leading companies in the automotive industry.

What will our traffic look like in the near and far future? How must intelligent mobility concepts be designed to meet the constantly growing requirements concerning climate protection, flexibility and costs? How is digitalisation changing our mobility behaviour? What do politics, businesses and the civil society have to do to guarantee the success of the transition to sustainable mobility? What framework conditions must the state set? To what degree do businesses have to show action? And to what extend does the individual have to reconsider his/her way of life?

In our discussion we want to focus on the future, on new mobility options, on new framework conditions for clean, effective, safe and affordable mobility as well as on barriers that stand in the way of this development.

We would like to thank BW-Bank Stuttgart for supporting the event.

The event will be organised in collaboration with ZEW and the Ministry of Transport Baden-Württemberg.
