International Conference on the German Labour Market in a Globalized World: Trade, Technology and Demographics

Conference

The conference focuses on technology, trade, and demographic change and the ways they interact with employment, wages, and participation in the labour market. Particular emphasis will be on the role of institutions. Understanding these relationships is key for an assessment of the macroeconomic performance of the labour market and for the design of effective labour market policies.

We invite empirical and theoretical contributions on these topics from all areas of economics and sociology with a focus on labor, education, health, or human resource management. Submitted papers should be related to the theme of the conference but they do not have to analyze labor markets in Germany or Europe.

The conference will take place within the DFG SPP 1764 "International Conference on The German Labour Market in a Globalised World: Trade, Technology, and Demographics".
