Creation of jobs and enhancement of productivity and welfare through innovation is a priority in the policy agenda both in China and Europe. Thus, this workshop is aimed at bringing together scholars working in the field of empirical research on the relationship between innovation, employment and productivity in China and Europe. The workshop is part of the Co-Reach project funded by the EU (www.co-reach.org). Co-Reach is a joint project of ZEW together with UNU-MERIT in Maastricht, LEREPS in Toulouse, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and Renmin University, both in Bejing.
