Dr. Frank Herkenhoff

Dr. Frank Herkenhoff is head of Communications at ZEW. Prior to that, he advised companies and foundations on all aspects of strategic communications for GAULY Advisors. In particular, he possesses extensive expertise in capital market communications (activist shareholders, IPOs/IBOs, mergers of equals, carve-outs), corporate governance, regulatory communications, and special situations.

Dr. Frank Herkenhoff was head of External Communications at Linde AG from 2016 to 2018, where he was responsible for the company’s worldwide media relations, financial reporting and corporate heritage. Before that, he headed the media relations department at Deutsche Börse AG for nearly ten years, advising the company on issues involving stock corporation law and market rights as well as economic policy. He started his career in 2001 at Kohtes & Klewes, Germany’s largest PR agency at the time. At the University of Leipzig, he studied media and communication studies, business administration, and psychology and earned his doctorate with a thesis on risk management.
