16th Ph.D. Workshop on International Climate Policy

Topic

The workshop is organized by the European Ph.D. network on International Climate Policy. This independent scientific community is open to Ph.D. students and researchers from all disciplines working on aspects of International Climate Policy. As a vital part of the network, the Ph.D. candidates meet twice a year for a workshop which gives them the opportunity to present their theses and discuss them with other Ph.D. students and scientists working in the area of climate policy.

The 16th Ph.D. Workshop on International Climate Policy focusses on the following topics:

  • Post-Kyoto climate regime
  • Market-based instruments of climate policy
  • Energy, technology, and environmental policy
  • Adaptation to climate change

The workshop will be hosted by the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW)in Mannheim. The ZEW works in the field of applied empirical economic research. As a non-profit economic research institute, it takes a predominantly microeconomic and microeconometric research approach and co-operates closely with other scientific disciplines. The ZEW Department of Environmental and Resource Economics, Environmental Management is conducting research in the fields of Energy Economics, Macroeconomic Analysis of Environmentally Relevant Policies, Innovation and Sustainable Development, International Environmental and Resource Policies, and Transport and Mobility.
