The Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) is pleased to announce its 10th Summer Workshop for Young Economists. The general topic of this workshop is "The Economics and Econometrics of Innovation". The workshop provides a forum for discussions between young talented researchers and distinguished experts in their field of research. The programme will consist of lectures by experienced researchers and presentations by young scholars. Extensive time will be provided for discussions among participants. The participants will be required to present a paper during the workshop. We invite submissions of theoretical and empirical papers from economics and management.
Papers could address topics as:

- Role of Complementarities For Innovation
- Evaluation of Public Innovation Policy

After we received numerous applications we now start reviewing the submissions. Notification on acceptance will be given until end of March.
The Heinz-König-Young-Scholar-Award is given to a scholar under 35 years of age for the most outstanding paper presented at the ZEW Summer Workshop.This year's award is funded by the MLP Aktiengesellschaft. It consists of a prize of 5,000 Euro and, in addition, a three months residential fellowship at the ZEW. The winner will be announced at the workshop. The prize is named after the ZEW's founding research director, the late Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Heinz König, who strongly shaped the ZEW's scientific achievements.
