Delegation from China Visits ZEW
A high-level delegation from the "Development Research Center of the State Council, P.R. China" (DRC) and the "Human Resources Study and Training Center" including representatives from several Chinese provinces and cities visited ZEW on June 11, 2012.
Led by Li Guoqiang, DRC and Human Resources Study and Training Center, the members of the delegation were informed about the structure and the management system of ZEW, its research funding, and publications as well as already existing networks with China. Thomas Kohl, ZEW Director of Business and Administration, welcomed the delegation and gave a general overview of the research institute, its research work, and funding. According to the requests of the Chinese guests, talks at ZEW also focused on the topics of collecting research data and promoting research work of young researchers.
The Chinese delegation is spending three weeks in Germany. During their stay, delegation members are visiting leading research institutions to get an overview of the overall economic situation as well as economic and social policy in Germany. Talks between ZEW and a delegation from the DRC had already taken place at the institute last year.
