Elena Di Rosa completed a Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science at the Stuttgart Media University before completing a Master’s degree at the Humboldt-University of Berlin. During her Master’s she worked for the DFG-funded project “Copyright Infrastructure for Research and Education” (Infrastruktur Urheberrecht für Wissenschaft und Bildung, IUWIS). For her Master’s dissertation, Di Rosa dealt with the topics of scientific communication, licensing, copyright and Open Access.

Following her degree, Elena Di Rosa worked at the Saxon State and University Library in Dresden until the end of 2014. During her time there, Di Rosa supported scientists publishing Open Access, she worked in the information service team and led the Library’s electronic publishing group. From 2015, Di Rosa worked at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law where she managed the Library’s electronic resources and software.

Elena Di Rosa has been responsible for the working area information and knowledge management in ZEW’s "Information and Communication" Service Department since September 2016. Her main responsibilities relate to electronic services, information transfer, publication support, maintenance of ZEW’s intranet and media acquisition within the institute's special library.
