Christiane Reif studied international economics at the University of Regensburg. In her studies, she participated in the "Honors" degree programme and concentrated on international and interregional economics, statistics, environmental economics, and politics. Since October 2009, Christiane Reif has been working as a researcher in ZEW’s Research Department "Environmental and Resource Economics, Environmental Management". She was a visiting researcher at the Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3) in Bilbao, Spain. She successfully finished her doctoral thesis entitled “Voluntary Cooperation of Individuals and Cooperates in the Environmental Context” in 2015. In her research in environmental and behavioural economics, she applies experimental and empirical methods on issues like public good provision, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and adaptation to climate change.
