Arne Jonas Warnke is a researcher in the research area “Labour Markets in Organisations” in the “Labour Markets, Human Resources and Social Policy” department at ZEW. His research covers the fields of labour and education economics, personnel economics, and survey methodology. His main research interests focus on the interactive relationship between workers and firms, on job-related training, and on reward systems maximizing worker’s performance. Other topics of interest in his research deal with the gender-wage gap, microeconomic forecasting, and the usage of linked-employer-employee data.

Based on his research experience, Arne Jonas Warnke consulted international cooperations such as BASF SE or Daimler AG as well as public authorities including the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS).

Arne Jonas Warnke studied economathematics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). His major subjects during his studies were innovation and game theory in economics as well as numerics and statistics in mathematics. Subsequently, he worked for different national and international research-related institutions, such as the German Institute for International Educational Research (DIPF), Lisbon Council, OECD, and Zeppelin University, before joining ZEW in September 2011.
