The ZEW Forecast Survey is a quarterly survey that is being conducted since early 2001. Currently the following 21 banks participate in the survey on a regular basis.
The survey refers to the six most important financial market values in Europe. In particular these are: the short and long-term interest rates in Europe, the Dow Jones Stoxx 50-Index, the German stock index DAX, the TecDAX as well as the US-Dollar/Euro exchange rate. The forecasts are given for the respective 3 and 6 months ahead.
The current forecasts are publicised along with the assessment of the forecast quality in the Börsenzeitung at the beginning of each quarter. The ZEW Forecast Survey regularly offers the public a representative overview of the financial market forecasts of banks operating in Germany as well as their forecast quality in the past periods.
The publication "ZEW Forecast Survey" was released in January 2017 for the last time.
