[ D] Researchers at the ZEW are involved in a variety of projects related to education. The objective of this platform is to provide information about education research at the ZEW, in particular about projects and publications. Furthermore, ZEW's events dealing with educational topics are announced on this site and links to valuable web resources on education economics are posted.
The ZEW's main goals for its economic research on education are to analyse:
The production of education deals with the effective use of resources where equity aspects are considered, e.g. examining the impact of student's background on educational performance. At the same time our studies focus on the effects of educational policy and institutions on the educational outcome.
We also analyse how education affects labour market outcomes such as individual labour market participation, productivity and earnings, unemployment and macro effects of education.
