Thomas Niebel studied economics at the University of Konstanz focussing on "The Economy and the State" and "Statistics and Econometrics". In his diploma thesis he analysed the impact of rising life expectancy on health expenditures. In August 2009 Thomas joined the ZEW research group "Information and Communication Technologies". His main research interest is the use of ICT and productivity in the European service sector.
