Daniel Osberghaus studied economics at the Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg from 2004 to 2009. He focussed on International Economics, Econometrics and Accounting. In his diploma thesis he examined the role of non-governmental organisations in the field of microfinance. Since April 2009 Daniel Osberghaus is a researcher at the Centre for European Economic Research, Department of Environmental and Resource Economics, Environmental Management.
