Dirk Crass studied Economics at the Goethe University of Frankfurt/Main with main focus on Microeconomics, Industrial Organisation in particular. In his diploma thesis, he analysed the competition regarding the internet backbone market. Subsequently, he was working as a research associate at the "Institut für Wirtschaft, Arbeit und Kultur (IWAK)" in Frankfurt/Main. Since August 2008 Dirk Crass is a Researcher at the ZEW Research Department "Industrial Economics and International Management".
Dirk Crass is currently on parental leave.
