ZEW Databases
The ZEW provides researchers at academic and non-academic research institutions with access to the databases maintained by its research departments. This data is only provided for research purposes, and, to ensure the protection of privacy, is encoded, and anonymised. A data-sharing fee is charged to cover the ZEW’s expenses. Access to the following databases is offered:
Mannheim Innovation Panel (MIP)
Database with information on the innovative activities of companies in Germany, collected on the basis of an annual company survey. The survey started in 1993. More information on the MIP is available at Innovation Survey. MIP micro data are available free of charge in the form of anonymous data sets, for research and teaching. Mannheim Enterprise Panel (MUP)
Firm-level data for analysing business start-ups, growth, and insolvencies, with data from some 5.9 million West German and 1.4 million East German enterprises. With the ZEW Start-Up Panel no individual data can
be made available. Only data
on aggregated level are passed on.
